Method for evaluating cycle life characteristics of secondary batteries

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and surely evaluate relationship between the pressure on both positive and negative electrodes and the cycle life properties of a secondary battery, which is contained in a battery case with at least one electrode group consisting of positive electrode and a negative electrode, and a separator to insulate these both electrodes as well as electrolyte. SOLUTION: The cycle life properties are evaluated by examining charge and discharge cycle in the condition where pressure is applied externally, to the electrode case, and pressure is applied to the positive electrode and negative electrode inside of it.
