PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter-receiving unit which is used in an outer hooking type filtration apparatus for an aquarium, has excellent filterability, can briskly correspond to the kinds of organisms and the like, and gives highly pure water.;SOLUTION: This filter-receiving unit used in the outer hooking type filtration apparatus for the aquarium is characterized by detachably disposing one or more porous division plates in a filter-receiving chamber 76 formed between a unit base plate 71 and a cover 72 to vertically divide the filter-receiving chamber 76 into a plurality of compartments, forming many small inflow holes 77 for taking in water W supplied in a water-purifying tank 13, in at least one of the peripheral wall 72a and bottom water 72b of the cover 72 corresponding to the filter-receiving compartment 76A at the lowest stage, and forming many small outflow holes 78 for flowing out the water W passed through the filtration compartment 76C at the highest stage, in a region corresponding the filtration compartment 76C at the highest stage in the unit base plate 71.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
