PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method by which a barium titanate powder having a narrow particle size distribution can be manufactured at a low cost while preventing mixing of a chlorine impurity.;SOLUTION: The method is characterized by including a reaction process for reacting titanium oxide particles and a water-soluble barium compound in an aqueous solution of a pH value of ≥11.5 at a temperature of ≤100°C.
