The method of stabilizing the caustic liposomes in aqueous formulations, liposome product, vaccine adjuvant, chlamydial vaccine, malaria or tuberculosis and the distribution system are the subject of the present invention. In particular, the present invention relates to the steric stabilization of cationic liposomes by incorporation of glycolipids into liposomes. Stabilized liposomes may be used as an adjuvant to antigenic components or as a drug delivery system.
