Photosensitive polymeric microparticles are made of integral and internal surface domains, wherein at least one of the surface and / or internal domains is photosensitive. Aqueous dispersions of such microparticles, modes of production of such microparticles and photosensitive articles such as optical elements incorporating the photosensitive polymer microparticles are also described.
