Emergency Shutoff Valves, Fuel Release System Leak Isolation Methods, Fuel Flow Shutoff Through Conduit, and Emergency Shutoff Valve Testing, and Emergency Emergency Shutoff Valve Equipment is provided. an emergency shutoff valve including a seat defining a fluid inlet, a fluid outlet and a fluid flow passage extending therebetween. The valve includes a valve member disposed within the seat and engaged so that it can be released in an open position by a locking mechanism. An expandable member defines at least a portion of a sealed expandable chamber that is sealed at downstream locations and upstream of a weakened portion of the seat. The emergency shutoff valve defines a failure mode in which the structural integrity of the seat is compromised to the extent that fuel can flow into the expandable chamber when a predetermined load is applied to a part of the seat where the expandable member is operable by decoupling the locking mechanism such that the valve member moves from the open to the closed position.
