A method for visualizing the motor function in the patients with the space-occupying brain lesions and limb paresis comprises the functional magnetic resonance tomography with the passive stimulation of the motor function with the aim of visualizing the areas of brain activity. The passive stimulation (flexion and extension of four fingers) is performed by the mechanical device with the pneumatic drive at a rate one flexion/extension per 3.5 seconds corresponding the collection time required for one BOLD sequence. For assessing the completeness of tumor rejection, anatomical and functional magnetic resonance images with the minimal geometric distortions are superimposed.
