METHOD FOR SURGICAL TREATMENT OF PARESIS OF FACIAL NERVE

A method for the surgical treatment of the paresis of facial nerve comprises anastomosing hypoglossal nerve and facial nerve according to the conventional technique. After anastomosing, the descending branch of hypoglossal nerve is sutured to the distal remnant of the main trunk of hypoglossal nerve. For increasing the cross section area, the descending branch is dissected at the angle to its longitudinal axis.
