The insecticide is materialized in a mixture of skin, thorns and other residues of dehydrated codfish. The mixture is crushed or pulverized, and is introduced in a container with orifices that allow the access of the fruit fly to their interior. The intense odor is generated by the decomposition of the codfish residues. The natural products are used in such a manner that the ecological products do not repel negatively in the environmental medium. The attraction to flies is obtained such that the flies die in the interior of the container as they are not able to find the exit.
