PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crack removing method of a rotor for a rotary electric machine which easily removes a crack or prevents progress of the crack generated on a contact face with a wedge at a rotor core portion side, or to provide a crack progress preventive method of the rotor for the rotary electric machine, and to provide the rotor for the rotary electric machine with the crack removed by these methods, and to provide the rotary electric machine with the rotor for the rotary electric machine.;SOLUTION: The rotor 10 for the rotary electric machine includes a plurality of slots 12 formed on an outer peripheral face of a rotor core 11 in an axial direction; a coil held in the slots 12; and the wedge which is arranged and inserted at an upper portion of the slots 12 in an axial direction, and holds the coil in the slots 12. In the crack removing method of the rotor for the rotating electric machine, the crack 14 is removed by forming a through-opening 20 which penetrates from one side of the slot 12 to the other side of the slot 12 adjoining each other through the rotor core portion 11, wherein the through-opening includes the crack 14 of the rotor core 11 generated on the contact face with the wedge.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
