PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a statistical genetic analysis with higher accuracy even when the amount of data is small or there are missing data.;SOLUTION: A linkage disequilibrium index computation device 20 generates possible multi-locus genotype data including two specific loci from a set of multi-locus genotype data of individuals. For every multiple loci, maximum likelihood estimates of haplotype frequencies are computed and converted into two-locus haplotype frequencies. Variances and confidence intervals are computed by a plurality of different methods and converted into two-locus information. The two-locus variances are compared for verification and whether the maximum likelihood estimates fall within the confidence intervals is determined before, according to the results, the confidence intervals and corresponding two-locus haplotype frequencies are recorded in a confidence interval estimation result storage part 53. The confidence intervals of every multiple loci are compared, and a confidence interval to be adopted and corresponding two-locus haplotype frequencies are specified.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
