The music genre discrimination device analyzes, according to an input music signal, the music signal to discriminate a genre of music and comprises an analysis means for performing a time-series analysis on the music signal and a discrimination means for discriminating the genre of the music signal on the basis of an analytic value analyzed by the analysis means.
