Method of non-secure franking of books of stamps

The method involves recording identification numbers and postage amounts received from a server in a non-secure memory of a communication terminal (10). The identification number and the associated postage amount are stored in a database (18) of a franking service provider for each paid-for postage imprint. The database with access is shared with a server of postal administration (16), to delete the identification numbers recognized when the mail items are collected by the postal administration. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a communication terminal for performing non-secure franking with postage imprints (2) a management server for performing non-secure franking with postage imprints (3) a computer program stored on a computer-readable recording medium comprising instructions for performing non-secure franking (4) a recording medium on which the computer program is stored.
