Method for reducing fishtailing movement of vehicle trailers

The method involves providing vehicle trailers with left- or right-sided wheel brakes and stretching the brakes at a time point of zero crossing of deflection of the rolling movement or real time to the time point. The brakes are further released at a time point of respective succeeding largest amplitude of the deflection of the rolling movement. A brake pressure is constantly withdrawn both for the left- and right-sided brakes slowly within 0.1 to 0.5 seconds until the cancellation of a braking action if a predetermined wheel slip due to a blocking inclination of a wheel is detected.
