Softwareupdate method for FPGA-based automation systems

The method involves dividing the memory (14) in a segment and another segment (16,18). The segment has a program code instruction for a boot strap (20), which is loaded and guided in the processing device. The processing device is provided for carrying out program code instruction of boot strap, control program (22) and an electrically detached memory. The boot strap checks an availability contingency updating of the updated control program and loads the updated control program in another segment. An independent claim is also included for a computer program with an executed program code instruction by a computer for implementing the method.
