NAVIGATION SERVICE SYSTEM AND METHOD USING FUZZY LOGIC

A method and an apparatus for supplying a navigation service by using a fuzzy logic are provided to offer a 2-directional navigation service to a user by using a driving pattern of the user and road state information. An apparatus for supplying a navigation service includes a data collector(108), a path calculator(116), a fuzzy logic controller(110), and a display unit(118). The data collector collects driving data of a user. The path calculator calculates at least one candidate path to a destination, when a user requests the navigation service. The fuzzy logic controller determines a driving pattern of the user by using a fuzzy logic and the driving data, and determines road states on the candidate paths. The display unit outputs the candidate path which has the road state close to the driving pattern. The fuzzy logic controller includes a fuzzy unit, a fuzzy rule base, a fuzzy inference engine, and a non-fuzzy unit.
