PENETRATION TEST APPARATUS FOR GEOTECHNICAL SITE INVESTIGATION

A penetration test apparatus for geotechnical site investigation is provided to derive the number of hammering during intrusion of a sampler into the ground as well as to obtain samples. A penetration test apparatus for geotechnical site investigation comprises a sampler(10), a hammering unit, and an intrusion measuring unit(30). The sampler is driven into the ground and obtains a sample. The hammering unit generates hammering energy to drive the sampler into the ground. The intrusion measuring unit measures intrusion of the sampler. The hammering unit includes a rod(50), an anvil(40), and an automatic hammer dropping unit(60). The rod is interposed between the sampler and the anvil to transfer hammering energy applied to the anvil to the sampler. The anvil is hammered by a hammer(20) and transfers the hammering energy to the rod. The automatic hammer dropping unit, including the hammer, lifts and drops the hammer.
