In the state observer 16 and the character correction filter system 10 having a (18), the system is used to extract a signal component from the output signal of the dynamic system (12). State observer is tracking a signal component that represents the dominant dynamics in the output signal of the dynamic system, suitable for providing an estimation signal representing an estimated signal component in the output signal of the dynamic system. Here correction filter is adapted to compensate for the mismatch between the actual signal and estimated signal component that represents the dominant dynamics in the output signal. Coupling of the output signal and the estimation signal of the correction character filter can provide a synthesized signal including the signal component that represents the dominant dynamics in the output signal.
