A method and a device for translating an address of a bad block in a memory device, and a memory device controller including the same are provided to translate quickly and manage the bad block efficiently by using a bad block map including bad block information, which represents whether a memory block is the bad block or not. A bad block bitmap referencing unit(212) obtains bad block information corresponding to a logical memory address from a bad block bitmap(222) including bad block information, which represents whether a memory block is the bad block or not. A memory mapping unit(214) obtains a physical memory address corresponding to the logical memory address from a block mapping table(224) and outputs a reserved physical memory address by search a remap table(226) based on the obtaining physical memory address when the bad block information represents bad indication. The memory mapping unit outputs the physical memory address corresponding to the logical memory address from the block mapping table when the bad block information does not represent the bad indication.
