1. A method of manufacturing stable aluminum-zirconium aqueous antiperspirant compositions with a low iron content, not containing amino acids, having an impurity level of traces of each of the metals (Co, Cr, Ni, Mn, Cu) of less than 2 ppm and having an anhydrous solids content of from about 25% to about 35%, which contains (i) heating an aqueous solution of a low iron content aluminum halide compound having an iron content of less than 30 ppm. and having an anhydrous solids content of up to and including about 44%, and represented by the general empirical formula Al (OH) Y · nH Where Y is Cl, Br or j and 0≤x≤6 and n is about 0.8 to 4 and at a temperature refluxing; (ii) mixing said compound under reflux with an amino acid-free zirconium compound at such a rate that the boiling solution is substantially clear, said zirconium compound being selected from (a) those that have a total formula ZrO (OH) where z m can vary from 0.8 to 2, and n represents a valency of B, a 2-nz is greater than or equal to 0, and B is selected from the group consisting of halides or nitrate; (b) those having the formula [ZrO (OH) (CO) × nHO] and [Zr (OH) (CO) × nHO]; (iii) refluxing the mixed solution for about 1-2 hours, followed by completion of the addition of the zirconium compound, (iv) cooling the solution to room temperature (v) and filtering it to obtain a clear aqueous solution of the antiperspirant salt. 2.
