The computer-aided design (CAD) data exchange method involves converting the CAD-data structure by CAD system of independent and uniformly functioning post processor in different CAD systems. The post processor (PPR) is available to the user both within (as a CAD-system-function) and outside the CAD-systems (as an independent program). An independent claim is also included for a post processor controller for the transformation of the CAD data structure by a uniform CAD system.
