The drive has a spur gear unit (1) driving a bevel gear (3), where a ring gear (4) of the gear drives a driven shaft (6) of a wheel hub (7) that is connected with a vehicle wheel (8). A wheel bearing (9) is arranged on the shaft. The ring gear is connected with the shaft by a synchronized gear tooth system (5) in a torque-proof manner, and inner rings (11) of the bearing are prestressed along an axis of rotation of the ring gear. The shaft has a thread (18), over which a nut (19) of the ring gear is attached at the inner ring, where the nut is secured over a lock nut (21) against rotation.
