The method involves pre-assembling an assembly unit in an assembly point with a mounted part (A). The assembly unit is transported from the assembly point to another assembly point. The mounted part is attached in a support part (T) and a blind rivet nut (2) is inserted into a hole of the support part for assembling a rivet-bolted connection in the latter assembly point. A screw (4) is tightened with a large torque to set the blind rivet nut by forming an upset ridge (24) so that the mounted part and the support part are clamped between a head (14) of the screw and the upset ridge.
