Optimal converter voltage calculating method, involves connecting converters with path substations or transformer stations, and calculating optimal converter voltage from voltages of adjacent substations based on overhead line impedances
The method involves connecting static path converters (1) with path substations (2) or with path transformer stations, where the path substations are attached at central 110-kV-16, 7-Hz-path power supply systems, and the path converters directly supply 15-kV railroad overhead lines (3). An optimal converter voltage is calculated from the voltages of the adjacent substations based on overhead line impedances. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for on-line determination of overhead line impedances without measuring substation currents (2) a method for on-line determination of overhead line impedances with measurement of substation currents.
