The method involves exposing surfaces, which are to be treated, to a functionalizing plasma (4) and/or a coating plasma, where the functionalizing plasma increases testability of the surfaces. The functionalizing plasma and the coating plasma are produced with a same plasma source (2) that is arranged within or outside of containers (1) or objects e.g. needles, where the containers or objects are made from plastic. An independent claim is also included for a device for treating an inner side surface of a container or an article.
