The burner (1) has a hollow cylinder-shaped designed burner insert (4) with slots (18) and a surface (44) at an inner side of a cover, where axes of the cover act at an axial direction (A) of the burner insert in an inclined manner. The slots and the surface are discharged for supply of fuel to a product to be heated in a combustion chamber. The slots are inclined from an outer circumference to an inner circumference of a circular surface at a radial direction of the burner insert with a respective angle.
