The system (10) has multiple branching points (AS) extending along a length (B1) of a main cable (11) in a distributed manner. The junctions divert a branching cable (13) for supply to current consumers. The branching cable in an interior of a branching device (13) is connected to the main cable. The branching cable is protected against external influences by the branching device. The branching device is formed as housings, which are integrally molded at the cables by an injection-molding technique. The housing encloses, locks and seals an inner space of the device : An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a current supply system.
