The translucent low pressure discharge hydrogen lamp has a metallic housing construction protecting the discharge chamber in a bulb filled with deuterium. A screen (4) made of electrically insulating material is fixed in the metallic housing part (2) which is turned to visible light source. The electrically insulating screen is fixed adhesive-free to the metallic housing.
