The pump (10) has a drive shaft, which is arranged in a pump housing, where the pump is driven by the shaft. Two pump units (13, 13`) have respective cylinders (38, 38`) with longitudinal axes and cylinder chambers (32, 32`). The pump units have cross heads with cross head bolts, by which pump pistons (30, 30`) stay in effective connection with a piston rod (16), and the cross head bolts are supported in small lugs of the piston rod. The small lugs are designed as slotted holes with the longitudinal axes, which are perpendicular to the longitudinal axes of the cylinder.
