The method involves producing useful signals (18a) through mixing or scanning of mixed transfer signals (16a) with a part of another mixed transfer signals (14a). Measurement results are determined by evaluation of the used signals, and a temporal process of a frequency is frequency offset to another temporal process and/or is delayed. A third temporal process is frequency offset to the latter temporal process and/or is delayed, and a fourth temporal process of another frequency of the mixed transfer signals is frequency offset to the third process and/or is delayed. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a radar transmitter comprising a device for producing transmitting signals (2) a radar receiver for use with a radar transmitter comprising a device for detecting a part of echo signals (3) an evaluation device comprising a device for determining measurement results (4) a transponder for use with an evaluation device.
