Item data, including speed and acceleration data, for all road users, such as vehicles (FZ1,FZ2), pedestrians (F), and cyclists, are acquired and evaluated. Possible paths of movement (I,II) of the road users are predicted based on the item data. If collision between same or different road users based on the predicted paths of movement is determined, countermeasures are taken to warn the users of possible collision. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a device for immediate recognition of dangerous situations within a road intersection; and (2) a vehicle with a radio communication device.
