The container has a base unit (1), a cover unit (4) and a non-dimensionally stable receptacle (3) arranged between the base unit and the cover unit. A compressible and expandable spring unit (2) extends between the base unit and cover unit, where the spring unit supports the receptacle in an expanded condition. The receptacle is impermeable to a liquid, and the cover unit has an exhaust opening (6) to enable escaping of air during the filling. The spring unit is designed as a coil spring that exhibits a polygonal cross section. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a spring unit of a container.
