The folding knife comprises a blade (2), which is pivotable connected with a handle bar (1). The handle bar is made of plastic material, where a metal plate is inserted inside the handle bar and is provided with grooves. A flexible catching element is provided in the blade, which is arranged in such a way that it is engaged into the groove of the plate and preferably in the folded out condition of the blade. Two plates are attached with single joint inside the handlebar at both sides of the blade. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing folding knife.
