The method involves applying multiple markers on a movable machine part. A receiver (3) is arranged on a stationary part, which receives radiations, emitted from the markers. The marker sample is provided and inquires for generating a clamping situation for each rotating situation. The markers, which are active, emits radiations, which are sensitive for the receiver and the markers, which are passive, reflects radiations, which are sensitive for the receiver. An independent claim is also included for a device for detecting a clamping situation in movable parts of a device.
