The reactor (1) for softening of water, comprises a reactor housing, a first pipe connection (5) for supplying a granular solid, a second pipe connection (7) intended at the reactor housing for removing pellets, and a weighing device (4) for measuring the reactor weight. The first pipe connection is intended at the reactor housing or at a water supply line (2) guided to the reactor. The reactor housing is arranged on the weighing device and a controller is intended to induce a removal of pellets via the second pipe connection in dependence of the measured reactor weight. The reactor (1) for softening of water, comprises a reactor housing, a first pipe connection (5) for supplying a granular solid, a second pipe connection (7) intended at the reactor housing for removing pellets, and a weighing device (4) for measuring the reactor weight. The first pipe connection is intended at the reactor housing or at a water supply line (2) guided to the reactor. The reactor housing is arranged on the weighing device and a controller is intended to induce a removal of pellets via the second pipe with respect to the measured reactor weight and to induce the entry of a solid quantity via the first pipe connection into the reactor. The controller is arranged in such a manner that during a fixed deviation of the measured reactor weight of a required weight or at outlet of a fixed time interval, a removal of the pellets is induced over the second pipe connection and the solid quantity refilled into the reactor is measured over a conversion factor. The reactor housing has a lower cone and an upper cone. The upper cone is directly joined to the lower cone and has a smaller expansion angle than the lower cone. An outlet line is attached at the second pipe connection and flows directly into a pellet silo. A reactor side- and a pellet-silo side valve are intended in the outlet line. A wastewater pipeline is mounted between the valves at the outlet line. A solid storage vessel arranged on the weighing device is intended and is connected over an injector, which has a water pipeline, with the first pipe connection of the housing. Independent claims are included for: (1) a device for softening of water; and (2) procedure for softening of water.
