The tank (1) has a gas separator (4) for separation of a gas from a fluid lubricant-gas mixture i.e. oil-gas mixture, where the separator has a circle-cylindrical separating body, in which an inflow of the mixture flows in a tangential manner. A separating body (8) has a cross-sectional taper (12) that lies below the inflow and extends over a circumference of the body. The taper passes in a cross-sectional expansion (13) that points toward an area of a side wall (24) which lies above a lubricant mirror provided in the tank.
