The fuel injection valve (10), at an internal combustion motor, has a piezo-electric actuator (12) to move the needle (13) between two positions using a control current. The charging voltage is monitored to close the valve needle at an actual working position. The control current is given a targeted change at a given time point before an anticipated actual working position, to give a timed change to the charging voltage.
