The method for producing a composite part with a weakened area useful as interior lining part of motor vehicle, comprises producing a layered composite from a carrier layer (3), a textile-like covering layer (4) and a relocking barrier membrane (5), removing material by irradiation through a laser (6), irradiating the carrier layer at its side turned away to the barrier membrane, measuring the intensity of the laser beam passing-through a recess (10) of the carrier layer and the barrier membrane and reducing the intensity of the laser beam or transferring the laser beam. The method for producing a composite part with a weakened area useful as interior lining part of motor vehicle, comprises producing a layered composite from a carrier layer (3), a textile-like covering layer (4) and a relocking barrier membrane (5) arranged between the carrier layer and the covering layer, removing material through irradiation by a laser (6), irradiating the carrier layer at its side turned away to the barrier membrane, measuring the intensity of the laser beam passing-through a recess (10) of the carrier layer and the barrier membrane and reducing the intensity of the laser beam or transferring the laser beam during exceeding a determined threshold value. The barrier membrane has a thermoplastic polymer and is laminated with the covering layer and/or the carrier layer without an adhesive. The intensity of the laser beam is measured by the covering layer. The irradiation is continued so for a long time until the laser beam produces the recess by the carrier layer and the barrier membrane. The threshold value is selected, so that the laser beam cannot produce the recess in the covering layer. An independent claim is included for a composite part.
