The method involves using a pump (1) in an idle speed for realizing an injecting lubricant (6) of a manual transmission (7) to reduce rattle inclination by a drag moment, where the injecting lubricant is powered by a part of a wheel set. The wheel set is connected with a drive shaft and/or directly suspended at an engine. Volume flow from a pressure control valve (5) is reduced depending on rotational speed of the engine by using a spring-loaded valve (3). An independent claim is also included for an arrangement for executing a method for reducing rattle in a manual transmission.
