The method involves producing heat and/or cold of a compression refrigeration system from an external air and with an engine waste heat and transporting to an interior heating and/or cooling unit that is controlled over refrigerant pipes. The heat and/or cold are delivered from a geothermal energy system in the pipes over a heat exchanger (9) that acts as an evaporator or a condenser, and/or excess heat and/or excess cold are brought from the pipes in the energy system. A compressor unit (6) and a lamellae heat exchanger (4) are provided with a ventilator (5) in an external unit (17). An independent claim is also included for an arrangement for operating a heating and/or cooling system.
