摘要

The engine has a free piston (2) operated by combustion gas that is expanded in a combustion chamber (1). A crank piston (4) is axially movable by a crank drive (5) between upper and lower dead-centers in its cylinder (9). The combustion gas in a resilient-action -chamber is used during its resilient movement in the upper dead-center, where resilient characteristics of the chamber is determined a controllable outlet valve (7). An operating cycle of the free-piston takes pace within a rotation of the crank drive, where a controlled setting of the cycle takes place for power modulation.
