The method involves utilizing an article e.g. monument, provided with a bar code that is detected by a camera, where the article is defined by an optical and/or acoustic unit based on the read bar code. The bar code is defined optically by a display of a portable radio device and acoustically by a loudspeaker of the portable radio device. Annotations of the article are stored on a computer connected with Internet, and are automatically accessed after reading the bar code and optically and/or acoustically reproduced by the portable radio device.
