The holder has a holder body (1) upwardly opened and extended in a vertical direction. A lifting device formed by a threaded spindle (10), a spindle nut (9), an aperture (8), a recess (5) and a carrier plate (6) is provided in the body. An actuating device is formed by a shaft (14), a pinion (15) and a knob (16), and is connected with the lifting device by an interconnection of a locking device (17). The locking device releases the actuating device by a slot of a preset token coin, such that a candle (4) accommodated in the recess is lifted at a preset height by the lifting device.
