The electrohydraulic valve (1) has a piston (4) consisting of plastic composite material which is axially movable in a sleeve (8) of aluminum alloy. The mean thermal expansion coefficient of the plastic composite material in a temperature range of 0 to 100 degrees C deviates at most by 50% from the mean linear thermal expansion coefficients of the aluminum alloy in the said temperature range.
