The system (100) has a tool guide (110) for facilitating alignment of a surgical tool (102) e.g. screw, with respect to a patient (104), where the tool guide has a fastening section and a tool receiving section. The tool guide is integrated in a section of a radiological imaging-subsystem, which has an adjustably movable fastening structure. The tool receiving section receives an end effector, where the end effector has an opening, a drill fixture, a clamp, and a case. The position of the surgical tool is adjusted, while the adjustably movable fastening structure is moved. An independent claim is also included for a method for adjusting a surgical tool with respect to the patient.
