The device (100) has a receiving device (110) for receiving wood stakes, which are arranged on a longitudinal side. The receiving device has an attachment unit at a side for connecting at an end of each stake to provide a flushed closing of ends. A clamping tool clamps the stake, which is arranged at another side that is perpendicular to the former side. A connecting device is provided for packaging the stakes to connect its longitudinal sides with one another to palisade shaped stake packets.
