The method involves measuring terahertz-time domain-spectrum of a standard vegetable oil to adjust spectral data base, and measuring terahertz-time domain-spectrum of the vegetable oil, which is to be detected and/or tested. Purity of the detected vegetable oil is analyzed based on the spectral data base. Terahertz-time domain-spectroscopy-instruments are used to measure time domain-waveform of terahertz-impulse before and after filtering of the standard vegetable oil or reflecting at the standard vegetable oil. An independent claim is also included for a device for judging purity of vegetable oil by a terahertz-time domain-spectroscopy.
