The garment, designed for an infant of up to 3 years, covers the whole body apart from the hands and head, is made from a flame retardant fabric (1), e.g. treated cotton in a jersey knit, assembled with fire-resistant thread (5) and having two sliding clasp fasteners (2) running from top to toe. The fasteners are of 4 mm plastic spirals with plastic sliders, and are covered by strips (3) of flame-retardant fabric that are fastened with hook and loop strips (4). The back of the garment is marked with a transfer design to indicate its flame resistance.
