Optical system`s local diffusion measuring method for e.g. detecting ocular pathology, involves measuring luminous flow using analyzer having micro lens matrix, and determining small angle part by measuring flow in each covering zone
The method involves lighting an optical system using a point source (SC) emitting a luminous flow so that the flow has a direct flow (LD) component and a flow component diffused by the system. Central part of the flow transmitted by a flow sampling unit is intercepted, where the flow has the direct flow component and a small angle part (DIFF-PA). The flow is measured using an analyzer having microlens matrix (MLA) positioned in a measurement image plan and image detecting unit (CCD). The small angle part is determined by measuring flow in covering zones of the microlens. An independent claim is also included for a device for measuring a local diffusion in a given measuring plane.
