Flexible mechanical traction exerting device for humanoid/animaloid shaped robotic application, has motors making bands to roll when motors turn bands, to cause traction movement at ends in which elements are fixed by cables
The device has rotary electric motors (2, 3) acting on flexible torsion bands (10, 11) attached to bases (12, 13) that constitute ends of the device, where the ends are integrated to a flexible plastic sheath (14). The bands are connected to the motors by supports (6, 7) with branches, where the supports are fixed on rotary axles (4, 5) of the motors. The motors make the bands to roll when the motors turn the bands, for causing a mechanical traction movement at the ends in which elements are fixed by cables (15, 16). Thin rails made of elastic metal, are added in the sheath.
